With the headlines blaring, many people are concerned about coronavirus. The most important thing to do is not panic and take certain steps to protect yourself and control the risks.
Novel coronavirus is a respiratory virus that originated from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. It first appeared around November-December of 2019 and the outbreak is largely localised.
Nonetheless, in assessing your risk and therefore management, we will follow the guidelines issued by the Australian Government Department of Health.
If you fit the criteria below, we ask that you please call our Reception on 07 3399 5444 for an appointment and instructions to follow on your arrival at the practice.

Australian Government Department of Health guidelines have two parts:

If you have travelled to Wuhan City in the 14 days prior to your symptoms, OR
Have travelled to and area with evidence to human to human transmission, or a declared outbreak within 14 days before onset of illness, OR
Have been in close contact with someone confirmed to have novel coronavirus within 14 days prior to onset of symptoms.
