Introducing The Newest Member Of Our Nursing Team

Welcoming the newest member of our team, Nurse Alysha Roulstone.

Hawthorne Clinic is pleased to welcome Alyssa Roulstone as the newest member of the team.

Alysha will join our team of experienced and friendly nurses continuing her passion for treating and caring for patients of all age groups and her love of the care that a General Practice offers.

Alysha graduated nursing in 2016 and began her career in the Paediatric Emergency Department at Logan Hospital.

We caught up with Alysha to find out a bit more about her.

Q: What is it that you most enjoy about being a nurse?

A: I love being a nurse because nurses do so many things every day, whether we are helping and educating patients or comforting families, our days are never boring. I love that no matter the type of nursing you do, it all contributes to making a difference.

Q: Do you have a particular area of interest in nursing?

A: I've always loved woman's and children's health and helping new Mum's feel comfortable at home.

Q: What is the best piece of advice that you would give your younger self?

A: I would tell myself that 99% of the things you worry about will probably never happen. Dream more, worry less and pursue your passion. But also to stop procrastinating during exam block!

Q: What are your recommended must-reads?

A: I must admit I don't read as much as I used to, however The Alchemist is one of my favourites. As well as, any book in the Da Vinci Code novels.

Q: What is your top tip for maintaining a healthy lifestyle?

A: Being happy and being healthy go hand-in-hand, so as corny as it sounds, do what makes you happy. You only get one life, make sure you live it. I also enjoy working out with my husband and fur-children, that keeps me motivated.

Alysha will be providing a range of services, working a Tuesday and Thursday evening until 7.30pm and also Saturdays.
