Welcoming Dr Wendy Harvey

Originally hailing from Tasmania, Dr Wendy Harvey moved to Queensland to study medicine at the University of Queensland. Since graduating in 2000 she has worked multiple roles in both private and public hospitals, all the while gaining experience in a range of medical fields.
Her interest in public health eventually saw her pursue a career as a general practitioner, a role she’s enjoyed for more than three years now. Dr Harvey’s focuses as a GP include evidence-based medical practice, working with older patients and women's health.
When she’s not working with patients, she’s fine-tuning her skills as a medical practitioner through pursuing further study. As well as her PhD she also earned a Master of Public Health and is currently working on a fellowship in general practice.
Outside of work, Dr Harvey is kept busy raising three sons with her husband, Terry.
